The interior is very bare bones with a water pitcher already on the tables. Don't let this details fool you though. The service and chefs are fast. Servers make sure the pitcher is full. The food here is very flavorful and such good value especially in this economy. I ordered the following: * Sambar vada $8.00 * Tomato Onion Chili Uthappam - 10.50 * Filtered coffee $2.99 I'm not a fan of coffee but I am now of Indian filter coffee. It's not bitter. There's milk and chicory. I added two packets of sugar.

One of the most famous rare & iconic South Indian restaurant staples cemented in the South Bay. Where else can one go when craving a perfectly made thin and crispy dosa or steamed fluffy idli & sambar with filter coffee first thing on Sunday morning? There is a reason why people come here in droves. The service is consistently quick and efficient, the food is fresh and well priced, the ambiance is reminiscent to a canteen or cafeteria. Years ago you'd have to share a table with a stranger when a seat was open but unsure if that policy has changed or remains the same. Either way - the food is excellent, the mango lassi is pure, the coffee spot on, and such a place that you crave to go to and when leaving you feel quite pure and enlightened too.

My go to South Indian restaurant. Food is good, price is reasonable for the amount you can eat. The staff are very accommodating, unlimited refills for the Thali meal. I bring all my friends to this place. Main attraction is the price. It's cheaper than Madras Cafe, Idlly Express and Maylapore, who I think have taken advantage of the macro environment to raise prices. And I refused to eat there anymore. Ambience is homely.

Masala dosa , quiet Friday morning 9 am , not crowded , nice dosa with accompaniments , hot and nice . Had a filter coffee , needed more decoction to make it strong . A pleasant lady in the whom I had met during the last visit too in 2022 .
